The Northern California Golf Association has announced an important update to the remainder of the 2026 NCGA Juniors schedule.
After careful consideration, the remaining NCGA Juniors events scheduled for 2026 have been canceled. We know many junior golfers and families plan their seasons well in advance, and we appreciate your understanding as we make changes designed to create an even stronger competitive experience for junior golfers in Northern California.
A New Competitive Pathway Coming in 2027
In 2027, a new competitive tour under the Junior Tour of Northern California (JTNC) is being developed specifically for intermediate junior golfers who are working toward competing on the JTNC Championship Tour.
The new tour is being designed for:
- Boys and girls ages 10–18
- Boys with a Handicap Index® of 4.1–18.4
- Girls with a Handicap Index® of 6.1–18.4
Players can look forward to two-day competitive events with professional tournament management, official scoring and rules support, and opportunities to earn rankings through Junior Golf Scoreboard (JGS) and TUGR.
A season-long points race will also allow players to earn recognition and invitations into larger championship events.
Most importantly, the new tour will create a clearer pathway for developing players to progress into the JTNC Championship Tour as their games improve—and continue pursuing higher levels of junior golf competition such as the USNDP Northern California State Team.
More details, including the official tour name and 2027 tournament schedule, are coming soon.
Thank you for being part of the NCGA junior golf community. We are excited to share more about this next chapter in the months ahead.
