Junior Tour of Northern California Crowns Winners During Fall Series I Championship at Cypress Lakes Golf Course

PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. (August 20th, 2026) – The 2026-2027 Junior Tour of Northern California (JTNC) hosted its first tournament of the new season, crowning champions during the Fall Series I Championship at Cypress Lakes Golf Course in Vacaville.

Nathaniel Lee and Christina Choe win the first tournament of the season in their respective divisions, with Lee finishing at 7-under par 137 and Choe finishing at 1-over par 145. 

In the Boys division, Nathaniel Lee wins by a total of two shots over Kadin Jones with rounds of 69 and 68. Nathaniel produced some spectacular golf as he went bogey-free during round two carding four birdies and fourteen pars to shoot 4-under 68. Round one ended on a high note as well with Lee going 4-under during his final seven holes which included an eagle on the the 6th hole, a 409 yard par-four. Over the weekend Nathaniel was able to card seven birdies and one eagle, making this his first victory for the 2026 calendar year. 

Runner-up went to Kadin Jones of Windsor at 5-under par 139, Kadin had rounds of 69-70 while coming up two shots shy of first place. Kadin carded nine birdies throughout the 36-hole tournament which was a tournament high for the Boys field. Third palace went to Tavin McKinley of Pleasant Hill at 2-under par 142, Tavin had six birdies on the weekend and also turned in a bogey-free second round of 2-under 70! Fourth place went to Chase Botsford of Danville who landed at 1-under 143 on the leaderboard with 6 birdies and and eagle on the first hole of the tournament, a 506 yard par-five.

In the Girls division, Christina Choe wins by one shot over the field after posting rounds of 74-71 to finish at 1-over par. Christina's weekend started strong with back to back birdies right out the gates during round one, eventually she would go on to drop a few shots and end the day at 2-over par for a 74. On Sunday, during round two, she would bounce back with a lot more consistency as she carded a 1-under 71 featuring two birdies, fifteen pars, and just one bogey. Choe's second round resilience was enough to see out the Girls field and be the difference maker in winning her first tournament of the year. 

Runner-up in the Girls division ended in a three-way tie at 2-over par 146 with Erin Lee, Olivia Lee, and Annie Lu all tied after 36-holes. A card-off was needed to separate the three players and it was Olivia Lee who took home the second place medal with the best final 9-hole score out of the group. Olivia carded rounds of 74-72 and a total of three birdies. Third place went to Erin Lee of San Ramon, Erin's weekend included rounds of 74-72 with four bridies and one eagle on the opening hole of her tournament! Fourth place eventually went to Annie Lu who missed out on a medal spot after an unsuccessful card-off versus the two above mentioned competitors. Annie, of San Jose, had identical rounds of 73-73 while carding five birdies in total.
