PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. (August 20, 2025) – The 2025-2026 Junior Tour of Northern California (JTNC) is underway as it crowned champions during the opening event of the new season, Fall Series I Championship at Cypress Lakes Golf Course.

Kadin Jones and Medha Kotti both win their respective flights during the Fall Series I Championship at Cypress Lakes Golf Course.

In the Boy’s Championship flight, Kadin Jones becomes the first Boys champion for the 2025-2026 JTNC season after a playoff was needed versus Julien Cho. Kadin posted rounds of 75-73 to finish at 4-over par 148 as the weekend brought on quite windy conditions making it difficult to score. Nonetheless, Kadin navigated through the tough weather going on to card six birdies with his most impressive stretch coming during round one as he made three consecutive bridies! Kadin is now ranked as the #1 Boy on the JTNC Player of the Year standings as he look to build on this momentum heading into the new season.

Runner-up subsequently went to Julien Cho of Monterey, Julien carded rounds of 73-75 for 148. Julien tallied up six birdies over the 36-hole event and couldn't have started the championship any better as he made back to back birdies on the opening two holes. Third place ended in a card-off between David Navarro and Nyles Han at 5-over par 149, Navarro came out on top after the card-off as his second round 73 was enough to triumph over Han's second round 74. Nyles Han took fourth place with rounds of 75-74 that included three birdies.

In the Girls’ Championship flight, Medha Kotti takes the victory by five shots to claim the first Girls win on the Junior Tour this season. Medha carded rounds of 75-72 finishing at 3-over par 147, five shots ahead of runner-up Kayla Corcoran. Medha turned in six birdies throughout the 36-hole event, with her most outstanding play coming on the final nine holes where she carded a 2-under 34! A 2028 grad from Folsom, Medha looks to make the 2025-2026 JTNC season a memorable one after finishing 16th on the Girls JTNC points list last season.

Second place went to Kayla Corcoran at 8-over par 152, Kayla had rounds of 74-78 for 152 including three birdies. Kayle impressed with a first-round back nine of even-par 36 where she made par on nine consecutive holes.
