Junior Tour of Northern California Crowns Winners During Fall Series II Championship at Micke Grove Golf Links

PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. (August 30th, 2026) – The 2026-2027 Junior Tour of Northern California (JTNC) hosted its second tournament of the new season, crowning champions during the Fall Series II Championship at Micke Grove Golf Links in Lodi.

Tavin McKinley and Christina Choe win their respective divisions, with McKinley finishing at 8-under par 136 and Choe finishing at 9-under par 135.

In the Boys division, Tavin McKinley wins by one shot over Chae Botsford as the competition came down to the final few holes of the tournament with Tavin protecting his narrow lead. McKinley produced back to back rounds of 4-under 68, including an impressive start during round two as he went 4-under through his first thirteen holes. Throughout the 36-hole event McKinley carded nine birdies and an eagle on the par-five 5th hole during round two to finish at 8-under par for the weekend. With a recent 3rd place finish at Fall Series I ( Cypress Lakes), Tavin was able to finally secure his first victory of the 2026-2027 season and jump up to 1st on the 2026-2027 JTNC Boys Player of the Year standings. 

Runner-up went to Chase Botsford of Danville at 7-under par 137, Chase turned in rounds of 68-69 that included ten birdies. This marks Chase' second top-five finish of the new season and his first podium finish, he is currently ranked 3rd on the 2026-2027 JTNC Boy's Player of the Year standings with 316 points. Third place went to Josh Rivera of Fresno at 5-under par 139, Josh earns his first medal of the season while carding seven birdies and two eagles throughout the weekend. Fourth place went to Christopher Bordonaro of Carmel after he landed at 4-under par 140 with rounds of 72-68 to make it back to back top-five finishes on the Junior Tour in the most recent two weeks. Fifth place ended in a three-way tie at 3-under par 141, the players included were Pierce Baldwin, Theron Amey, and Dylan Hidayat. 

In the Girls division, Christina Choe earns back to back victories (Fall Series I Cypress Lakes) with a stellar 9-under 135 after she posted rounds of 70-65! Christina wins the Girls division by nine shots over Jayleen Sito, she went bogey-free during Sunday's second round where she tallied seven birdies in securing a dominating victory. In total over the 36-hole tournament, Christina had eleven birdies, twenty-three pars, and just two bogeys. Victory here at Fall Series II takes her to the top of the 2026-2027 JTNC Girls Player of the Year standings with 600 points, 300 ahead of the next closest girl on that list. 

Runner-up was awarded to Jayleen Sito of Dublin at even par 144, posting rounds of 77-67 earning her first medal spot of the season. Jayleen's weekend included six birdies as she beat out the next closest competitor by two shots. Third place needed an extensive card-off as four players were tied at 2-over par 146, this included Giana Main, Leila Rawson, Ella Rawson, and Teresa Ho. In the end it was Leila Rawson who carded the lowest second round score of 72 to claim the final podium spot with rounds of 74-72 and a total of eight birdies. The remaining three all earned fourth place honors with the following rounds: Giana Main - 73 & 73, Ella Rawson - 72 & 74, and Teresa Ho with 73 & 73.
