PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. (September 2, 2025) – The 2025-2026 Junior Tour of Northern California (JTNC) hosted its second event of the season and crowned champions during the Fall Series III Championship held at Bing Maloney Golf Course in Sacramento.

Anita Lumpongpoung and Augustya Ganesh both win their respective flights, the course played to a par-72 with the Boys teeing it up at 6,569 yards while the Girls played it at 6,116 yards.

In the Boy’s Championship flight, Augustya Ganesh earns his first victory for the 2025-2026 JTNC season with a clutch performance down the stretch during play of the final few holes. Augustya's strung together a pair of birdies and three pars during play of the competitions final five holes, this was enough to leapfrog Brody Reed and take the champions medal. Augustya was very consistent throughout the tournament as he only carded two bogey's during the 36-hole championship, with his most dominating stretch of golf being played during the first 16-holes where he chalked up fourteen pars and two birdies! Augustya turned in rounds of 70-68 finishing at 6-undre par 138, one shot better than runner-up Brody Reed.

Runner-up in the Boys division went to Brody Reed of Moraga, Brody carded rounds of 72-67 for a total of 139. Brody turned in scorecards that tallied up an eagle and six birdies throughout two rounds. In third place was Armaan Khan, of Folsom, who played the course at 4-under par 140, finishing just one shot shy of a runners-up medal. Armaan makes it back to back weekends on the Junior Tour placing in the top three as he looks to add to his JTNC Boys Player of the Year point total. Fourth place end in a tie between Sudhaamsuram Parvataneni and Barron Beinke at 3-under par 141, both juniors carded identical rounds of 69-72.

In the Girls’ Championship flight, Anita Lumpongpoung earns her first victory of the season by one shot to win the Girls division. Anita carded rounds of 69-72 finishing at 3-under par 141, one shot better than runner-up Hayley Fong. Anita carded eight birdies throughout the 36-hole event, a tournament high that she shared with runner-up Hayley Fong, with two decisive bridies being made on holes 15 and 16 down the final stretch! Anita seems to be in fantastic place with her game as looks to continue her dominance on the Junior Tour, the Chowchilla talent was recently crowned the 2024-2025 JTNC Girls Player of the Year.

Second place went to Hayley at 2-under par 142, Hayley produced rounds of 68-74 while making eight birdies. Hayley's highlight of the weekend was undoubtedly her first round 4-under par 68 that featured seven birdies! Third place ended in a tied between Cathy Zhang and Christina Choe at 1-over par 145 and needed a card-off to separate the two competitors, ultimately it would be Christina Choe's second round score that gave her the edge over Zhang in claiming the tournaments final medal spot. Christina carded rounds of 71-74 with a total of six birdies, meanwhile Cathy had rounds of 69-76 while carding six birdies as well.
