Junior Tour of Northern California Crowns Winners During Fall Series VI Championship at Coyote Creek Golf Club
PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. (September 27, 2025) – The 2025-2026 Junior Tour of Northern California (JTNC) hosted its sixth event of the season and crowned champions during the Fall Series VI Championship held at Coyote Creek Golf Club (Valley Course) in Morgan Hill.
Emma Wang and Jacob Watney both win their respective flights, with the course playing to a par-72 - 6,078 yards for the Girls and 6,708 yards for the Boys.
In the Boy’s Championship flight, Jacob Watney wins his second tournament of the 2025-2026 JTNC season, this included a sensational finish as the Clovis native carded an eagle on the final hole of regulation to win the championship. Jacob had rounds of 70-65 finishing at 9-under par 135, over the two day tournament with a field of 97 Boys - he carded thirteen birdies and one eagle to win by one shot over Aston Lim and Jackson Lutz. Jacob is now ranked #1 on the Boys Junior Tour Player of the Year standings at a total of 750 points, 400 points ahead of the next closest junior boy.
Runner-up needed a card-off to decide who would go home with the silver medal, both Aston Lim and Jackson Lutz were level at 8-under par 136. Jackson took second place as his second round 66 was low enough to see off Aston's round two of 69, Jackson carded ten birdies and an eagle to wrap up a satisfying weekend of golf. Third place went to Aston Lim out of Union City, Lim had rounds of 67-69 with a total of twelve birdies. Aston's highlight came as he made three consecutive birdies down the stretch on the final three holes of the competition, forcing a card-off. Fourth place went to Luke Swanson of Reno, Nevada at 7-under par 137, Luke had rounds of 68-69.
In the Girls’ Championship flight, Emma Wang of Palo Alto wins in a playoff versus Erin Lee after the pair were ties at 5-under par 139. Emma prevailed in the playoff while nearly carding two perfect rounds over the weekend turning in scores of 69-70. Emma's play was almost free of any flaws with her scorecards showing seven birdies, twenty-seven pars, and only two bogeys. Victory here at Fall Series VI, featuring 55 Girls in the field, takes Emma up to 3rd on the Girls JTNC Player of the Year standings making this performance her second podium finish for the season. Emma currently sits at 450 points with 225 points separating her and 2nd ranked Cathy Zhang.
Second place subsequently went to Erin Lee after her defeat in the previously mentioned playoff. Erin carded rounds of 73-66 with an outstanding back-nine during round two as she made four birdies on her final five holes to leapfrog her way up the leaderboard! Third place went to Diya Kumar of Fremont, Diya had rounds of 70-71 including seven birdies in total. Fourth place ended in a tie at 1-under par between Madalynn Lee and Ashley Gettleman, Lee had rounds of 74-69 while Gettleman turned in rounds of 72-71.
