Junior Tour of Northern California Crowns Winners During Spring Series III Championship at Rancho Solano Golf Course

PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. (April 2nd, 2026) – The 2025-2026 Junior Tour of Northern California (JTNC) hosted its 16th event of the season and third in the 2026 calendar year, crowning champions during the Spring Series III Championship at Rancho Solano Golf Course in Fairfield.

Theron Amey and Stevie Umali represented the Bay Area well as they both win their respective divisions, with Theron hailing from Oakland and Stevie hailing from San Francisco. The course played to a par-72 for both divisions with the Boys at 6,652 yards and the Girls at 6,094 yards.

Boys Spring III

In the Boy’s Championship flight, Theron Amey comes out victorious with a one-shot victory over the Boys field. Theron wins his first tournament of the season with a dominating display of both talent and composure, carding nine birdies and two eagles over the weekend with rounds of 67-68. Theron went 18 consecutive holes during the tournament without carding a bogey, the talent from Oakland started his hot streak when he teed off on hole #10 during round one and ended it on hole #10 of the second round. During this stretch Theron would go on to card six birdies and an eagle, impressively four of those birdies were consecutively made on holes 5, 6, 7, and 8 during play of the second round! Theron is now ranked 13th on the JTNC Boys Player of the Year standings with 348 points.

Runner-up at 8-under par 136 was Nakul Shrivastava of San Ramon, Nakul turned in rounds of 70-66, narrowly missing out by one shot to Theron Amey. Nakul picked up nine birdies over the weekend and left no room for error as he went bogey-free during round two. Third place ended in a card-off between Landon Graves and Armaan Khan after the pair were tied at 5-under par 139, it was Landon's second round of 1-under 71 that beat out Armaan's 2-over 74 to earn himself a third place medal. Landon carded rounds of 68-71 with a total of seven birdies and one eagle. Armaan took fourth place with rounds of 65-74, turning in a total of seven birdies and one eagle as well.

Girls Spring III

In the Girls’ Championship flight, Stevie Umali wins her first tournament of the 2025-2026 JTNC season with repeat rounds of 3-under par 69. Stevie's composure off the tee and around the greens allowed her to finish with a comfortable two-shot lead over the Girls field, carding identical rounds that included five birdies and two bogeys on both Saturday and Sunday. Stevie’s final nine-holes were the difference maker where she carded three birdies to solidify her place at the top of the leaderboard with a final-nine score of 33. In total, the San Francisco talent produced ten birdies, twenty-two pars, and just four bogeys as she capped off her championship weekend! Stevie is now ranked 14th on the JTNC Girls Player of the Year standings with 350 points. 

Runner-up went to Samantha Chiou of Orinda at 4-under par 140, Samantha had rounds of 70-70 with a total of nine birdies over the weekend to make it her second top-five finish of the season and her first medal of the season. Third place was decided via a card-off between Janae Reese Galo and Lexi Lowe as the two were tied at 2-under 142, ultimately it was Janae who took home the final medal spot as her second round 71 beat out Lexi's final round of 72. Janae carded rounds of 71-71 while Lexi shot 2-under 70 during round one and even-par 72 on the second day.
