Junior Tour of Northern California Crowns Winners During Spring Series IV Championship at Monarch Bay Golf Course
PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. (April 26th, 2026) – The 2025-2026 Junior Tour of Northern California (JTNC) hosted its 17th event of the season and fourth in the 2026 calendar year, crowning champions during the Spring Series IV Championship at Monarch Bay Golf Course in San Leandro.
Erin Le Nguyen and Bence Ordody both win their respective divisions with the the course playing to a par-71 at 6,361 yards for the Boys, and a par-72 at 6,882 yards for the Girls.
In the Boy’s Championship flight, Bence Ordody comes out victorious with a dominating five-shot victory over the Boys field. Bence wins his first tournament of the season with an excellent display resiliency as weather conditions were not ideal, the entire tournament had to deal with strong winds and heavy rain, nonetheless Bence went on to card solid rounds of 70-72. Bence came into the clubhouse after round one with the lead at 2-under par 70, carding four birdies total with a front-nine of 37 and a back-nine of 33. During play of round two, Bence went on to shoot an even par 72 while taking his weekend tally to a total of seven bridies over the 36-hole championship. Spring Series IV marks the first time Ordody has made the top-three in any tournament on the Junior Tour as he looks to build on this momentum heading into the final stages of the season.
Runner-up at 5-over par 147 was Matthew Ubick of Ripon, Matthew turned in rounds of 74-73 that included five bridies in total while beating out the next closest competitor by one shot. Third place ended in a five way card-off between Ethan Cheng, Arden Xu, Theron Amey, Jacob Garibaldi, and Veer Bahl as the quintet were all level at 6-over par 148. Ultimately, it was Ethan Cheng who prevailed in the card-off to take third place as he shot the lowest second round of the group with a 2-under 70.
In the Girls’ Championship flight, Erin Le Nguyen wins her second tournament of the 2025-2026 JTNC season with rounds of 71-81 to finish at 8-over 156. Erin rounded off another successful weekend on the Junior Tour as she wins the Girls division by one shot over Ziqing Wang, Erin turned in a total of six birdies over the 36-hole tournament. She would go on to card her most important birdie of the championship during play of the final hole, a drivable par-four playing 251 yards long, securing her victory in San Leandro. Erin's success at Spring Series IV takes her to 3rd on the JTNC Girls Player of the Year standings with a total of 833 points where she looks to further her good fortunes and continue to climb the rankings!
Runner-up went to Ziqing Wang of San Jose at 9-over par 153, Ziqing had rounds of 76-77 with a total of three birdies over the weekend to make it her third top-five finish of the season and her first medal of the season. Third place was decided via a card-off between Rachel Lee and Alexis Chu as the two were tied at 14-over 158, in the end the final medal spot would be awarded to Rachel Lee who had the lower second round score of 75 when compared to Alexis' final round of 80. Rachel turned in rounds of 83-75 while making five birdies over the weekend.
